Curt, who has been with Busey for more than 25 years, is both a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and a member of the Financial Planning Association. An honors graduate from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, Curt earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance.
He was recognized from 2000 - 2012 as one of the “150 Best Financial Advisors for Doctors” by Medical Economics magazine. This award is based collaboratively on credentials, experience, compensation arrangements, minimum investment requirements, a good regulatory compliance record and charitable work. Consideration was also given to advisors who specialize in physician business or the medical field.
In honor of his excellence and leadership, Curt Anderson was named to the list of the Top 20 Program Managers in 2008, 2010 and 2011 by Bank Investment Consultant magazine. The ranking recognizes managers whose advisors have the highest average production per rep across the industry.
Curt was named a member of the 2013 Leaders Council - an honor presented only to those financial advisors who demonstrate an extraordinary level of commitment to clients through personal service and professioanl integrity. Membership is based on assets under management, education, credentials and fiscal year production. Re-qualification is required annually.
Curt is a dedicated community leader and volunteer. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Champaign County were he previously served two terms as Chairman of the Board and as Campaign Chair in 2003. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce where he served as Chairman in 2007. Curt and his wife Jo served as Co-chairs of the 2009 American Heart Association Heart Ball and the 2012 Heart Walk. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Champaign-Urbana Sunrise Rotary Club and was the club’s President in 2000. In addition, Curt has served on the Board of Directors of the Octave Chanute Aerospace Museum and is a member of the Carle Foundation.
