The proudest moment of my life was being a part of the University of Illinois baseball team. It meant a lot to see how much people in the Champaign/Urbana area care about the university and its sports teams, and I loved talking with fans and developing relationships throughout the season with them.
I’m from Omaha, Neb., and transferred to the University of Illinois after two years at Southeast Community College in Beatrice, Neb. I started over 50 games my junior and senior year at the University of Illinois and we finished fourth in the Big Ten in my junior year and third in my senior year. My senior year I led the conference in batting average (.347) and we qualified for a regional for the first time since 2015. I am an Illini for life."
