About a month after my wife and I found out we were pregnant with our second child, COVID-19 came out of the blue and my wife, three-year-old son and I all ended up at home together for about six weeks from mid-March to May 1.

It was a crazy busy time for me at work completing Paycheck Protection Program loans for my commercial customers and working all hours of the day, yet somehow during that time we became closer as a family. We would eat breakfast, lunch and dinner together as a family every day and get to enjoy our time together.

The pandemic made us realize that we need to prioritize our family and how important it is to spend quality time together, especially in an age in which almost everyone is connected to work 24/7 and has social media demanding attention. It really made us remember that life is about family and relationships, and that we need to enjoy each and every minute we have together because we never know how long it will last.
Now, we’re a family of four and truly enjoying every minute of life!
