Busey Adds Three Executive Level Leaders
As we continue to build out business teams across our growing footprint, Busey recently announced the addition of three executive-level bankers, helping align teams for agility, responsiveness and expertise. Associates who will join—or soon rejoin—the organization include:

Randy served as president of CrossFirst Bank beginning in July 2022 up to the financial close with Busey. He helped take CrossFirst public in 2019 as Chief Credit Officer before being named Chief Risk and Credit Officer in 2021.
Randy will begin his new role of Vice Chairman of Credit on June 30, reporting to Chief Credit Officer Chip Jorstad. In this role, Randy will ensure the bank’s credit philosophy and credit decisioning, processes, policies and overall portfolio management practices are sound—with a continued emphasis on balance sheet strength, profitable relationships and quality growth, in that order.

As Busey’s new President of Regional Banking, Tony provides strategic leadership to drive sustainable growth, working in close partnership with Busey’s senior leaders to deliver competitive, client-focused banking solutions across the region. Reporting to Mike Maddox, Tony is based in the greater Phoenix area and oversees Busey’s Central, West and Texas regional presidents to execute the regional model.
He brings two decades of commercial banking experience, most recently serving as EVP - Head of Division Bank Commercial and Middle Market Banking at HTLF. He has held senior leadership roles at Arizona Bank & Trust, Johnson Bank and BOK Financial—consistently leading high-performing teams and growing market share.

As Executive Director of Specialty Lending and Capital Markets, Brian leads strategic initiatives to grow the bank’s specialty lending portfolio and capital markets activities. In this role, Brian oversees the origination, structuring and syndication of complex credit facilities, while also managing relationships with institutional investors, middle-market clients and internal stakeholders. Brian will report to Tony Hammond and be based in Colorado.
With more than two decades of commercial banking experience, Brian has a proven track record of launching and scaling specialty verticals, structuring syndicated transactions and driving fee-based revenue growth. Prior to joining Busey, he held senior leadership roles at HTLF, BMO Harris Bank, US Bank and several other financial institutions in the Chicagoland area where he helped generate multi-billion-dollar loan and deposit growth.
As we diligently advance Busey’s regional model across our expanded footprint, we are excited about adding this great talent to an existing base of nearly 2,000 talented and dedicated associates. Our broad reach offers further expertise and scale—supporting comprehensive, cross-functional relationships for associates and clients alike.
