Busey Names Mike Daley Chief Strategy Officer


Previously Served as EVP – Finance & Business Line Strategy
 
First Busey Corporation (FBC), the financial holding company of Busey Bank, recently announced Mike Daley has been named Chief Strategy Officer. Daley previously served as Busey’s Director of Finance & Business Line Strategy since its integration of CrossFirst Bank last year.
 
“Mike has overseen multiple strategic initiatives and delivered significant results that benefit our teams, clients and shareholders. He was instrumental through our integration of CrossFirst Bank into Busey, and has done a terrific job helping align our teams and businesses,” said Busey Chief Operating Officer Amy Randolph. “Expanding his role to lead the development and execution of the bank’s long-term strategic plan across all business segments, in collaboration with the executive leadership team, is a natural progression. We have every confidence Mike will do a wonderful job in this role.”
 
Busey’s chief strategy officer is a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for developing and executing the company’s corporate growth strategy, ensuring alignment between corporate objectives and operational capabilities to drive sustainable growth, profitability and innovation. As CSO, he also actively oversees the enterprise project management and enterprise sales and business development offices, as well as the corporate insights and pricing & profitability teams. In his previous role with Busey, Daley was responsible for the strategic performance and trend analysis of each line of business, leading detailed analysis and planning to help build growth-related business strategies at the individual and organizational levels.
 
Bringing over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, he previously served as Chief Accounting Officer & Head of Investor Relations for CrossFirst Bankshares, Inc. from 2022 through 2024. A Certified Public Accountant, Daley has also held senior leadership roles at other publicly traded financial institutions, including Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, Treasurer, and Head of Investor Relations at Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc., as well as Chief Accounting Officer at National Bank Holdings Corporation.
