Busey Welcomes Director of Private Client Strategy
Busey Bank announced Frank Pettway has joined the organization as Senior Vice President – Director of Private Client Strategy.
As Director of Private Client Strategy, Frank is responsible for leading the strategic direction, growth and performance of the Private Client division across the Busey enterprise. This role is pivotal in delivering a differentiated, client-centric experience for high-net-worth clients and families, while driving deposit growth, deepening wealth relationships and ensuring alignment with the bank’s broader wealth management strategy.
Bob Ballsrud, Executive Managing Director of Busey Wealth Management, said he is excited to partner with Frank and believes his extensive knowledge of private banking services, including deposit strategies, investment management, trust and estate planning and holistic financial advisory, will ensure the delivery of integrated, high-touch solutions that meet the complex needs of affluent clients.

Frank, who joined Busey on September 30, said he is eager to help advance the bank’s solutions-based strategy and contribute to the continued growth of the company.

An accomplished senior banking executive, Frank has nearly 30 years of experience across all banking business segments. He joined Busey from The Northern Trust in Chicago, where he most recently served as National Practice Lead of the organization’s Professional Services Group, a business enterprise within Northern Trust’s Wealth Management division. He also served as a Senior Banking Director with Northern Trust after joining the organization as a commercial banker in 2008. Prior to his years at Northern Trust, Frank was a commercial banking assistant vice president with Fifth Third Bank’s Middle Market Group in Chicago and served as a banker/analyst with MidAmerica Bank in Clarendon Hills, IL.
Frank graduated with a BA in Business Marketing from North Central College in Naperville and earned an MBA in Finance and Marketing Management from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In addition to his professional duties, he has also been engaged as a director or member of numerous organizations including Bottom Line Chicago, Cameron Kravitt Foundation, Community Investment Corporation, Illinois Bankers Association, Robert Koranda Scholarship Foundation and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Office of Admissions Review Team.
