Busey Bank Adds Regional President in Texas

Busey Bank announced long-time Dallas area banker David Milton has joined the organization as Executive Vice President, Regional President, in the company’s Texas Region.  

 

In his role, Milton oversees Busey’s Dallas, Fort Worth and Frisco markets, guiding commercial, wealth management, treasury management and payments technology activities in Texas while supporting growth and identifying new opportunities.  

 

Steve Peterson, President of Regional Banking for Busey Bank, said he’s excited to work with Milton and believes his vast experience in the local markets will further strengthen connections as the bank continues its deep commitment and investment in Texas. 

 

“David’s financial expertise and broad experience in the local markets are tremendous assets to our entire organization while his personality and proven leadership track record are ideal fits for Team Busey,” he said. “He has extensive connections and relationships in our Texas markets and will play a pivotal role as we aggressively pursue talent to build out our leadership team and enhance operations in the region.” 

 

Milton, who began his tenure with Busey on Aug. 3, said he’s excited for the opportunity to leverage his experience in the area and contribute to the continued growth and success of the bank in Texas.

Prior to joining Busey, Milton was Dallas Market President – Director of Middle Market Banking, with Comerica Bank. He also served as National Director of Private Banking, North Texas Director of Business Banking and Middle Market Group Manager during more than 21 years with Comerica. His background also includes a 15-year stint with Bank of America.  

 

Milton is also active in the local community as a board member of the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce and graduate of Leadership Dallas-Class of 2008; past board chair and active volunteer for Junior Achievement of Dallas; and volunteer and Tocqueville Society member with the United Way of Dallas. 

 

He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University with a BBA in Finance and a BS in Economics.
