Wichita Leadership Roundtable
Busey Hosts Wichita Leadership Roundtable Focused on Economic Trends and Business Outlook
Busey recently welcomed local business and community leaders in Wichita for a roundtable discussion featuring insights from Jeremy Hill of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. The event brought together 35 leaders from across industries for a discussion centered on economic conditions, labor market challenges, inflationary pressures and emerging trends shaping the business environment.
The event created an opportunity for participants to engage in meaningful conversations around the most impactful economic issues affecting organizations today. Discussions highlighted persistent labor shortages driven by demographic shifts and skills gaps, as well as the increasing role of artificial intelligence in improving efficiency across industries. Participants also shared concerns surrounding cybersecurity, tariffs, supply chain pressures and the long-term impacts of workforce development challenges.
Attendees noted that while capital remains available, businesses are continuing to navigate uncertainty related to pricing pressures, labor costs and broader geopolitical disruption. Leaders across sectors also emphasized the growing importance of adaptability, soft skills and strategic decision-making as organizations evolve alongside new technologies.
While much of the discussion focused on navigating today’s challenges, the event also provided an opportunity for Busey’s Wichita associates and local leaders to highlight success stories, share momentum within the market and discuss the opportunities that continue to emerge both across the region and within the Wichita business community.
“This event reflects Busey Wealth Management’s commitment to helping clients and communities better understand the forces shaping the economy and markets,” said Zach Hillard, President of Busey Wealth Management and Chief Investment Officer at Busey. “Conversations like these create valuable opportunities to connect local business leaders with timely economic insights while also encouraging collaboration around the challenges and opportunities organizations are facing today.”
Zach added that Busey remains focused on helping clients navigate changing market conditions through informed guidance, strategic planning and a long-term perspective.
This event is part of Busey’s ongoing effort to provide meaningful financial and economic insights to clients and communities through educational events, investment commentary and personalized wealth management strategies.
