Robert J. Ballsrud, CPA, CFA

Bob is a Certified Public Accountant with Personal Financial Planning Specialist credentials as well as a Chartered Financial Analyst®. He has more than 30 years of experience in financial planning and investment management, over 25 of which have been at Busey. 

 

A member of Busey Wealth Management’s executive team, Bob provides leadership and strategy for the company’s Family Office and Institutional client base and is responsible for Institutional Services, offering practice management for regional teams.

Working with high-net-worth individuals, families and organizations to provide complex financial planning and investment management, Bob strongly believes clients deserve better. He maintains that integrating clients’ tax and financial planning objectives with a robust portfolio construction process in a highly customized and personal manner gives them the best opportunity for long-term financial success. His extensive experience gives him confidence that this can only be done well by building a team of experts around a client to ensure all aspects of their financial affairs are planned and accounted for properly.

A graduate of the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Finance, Bob is a member of the Investment Management Society of Chicago, the CFA Institute and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a firm believer in supporting local communities and serves as President of the Prairielands Council of Scouting America. He has also had involvement with numerous other local not-for-profit organizations through the years including the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, The University of Illinois Japan House, the Crisis Nursery, Champaign Parks Foundation, Developmental Services Center, Rotary International and the Carle Foundation to name a few.
