Thomas O’Rourke

 

Focused on building strong, long-term relationships, Tom’s goal is to create win-win outcomes that work, perform and support his clients’ growth. He approaches every interaction with a long-term mindset, while providing clear communication and realistic expectations. Through his honest feedback and structuring of solid loans, Tom becomes a reliable partner that clients can trust throughout the process.

 

Originating and structuring SBA 7(a) and 504 loans, he works directly with business owners and referral partners from initial conversation through closing. Tom focuses on understanding the client’s goals and building transactions that make sense for both the client and the bank. This includes reviewing financials, identifying risks early and navigating SBA guidelines to get loans approved and closed efficiently. 

 

Bringing nearly 30 years of industry experience, Tom joined Busey in 2026. His previous roles include 16 years with Wells Fargo as Director of Sales and Marketing, and he was a founder of Alternative Funding Partners and Commercial Loan Broker Institute. Tom holds an MBA from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science from Manhattan University.
