Volunteer Spotlight Featuring Adam Davis

Giving back to impactful missions and utilizing the strengths that were instilled in him during childhood is what inspires Adam’s involvement with many different organizations. Adam volunteers as the head coach on his son’s team, Illinois Gators Baseball because being coached by his dad was something that bonded them, and he wanted to share this bond with his sons as well. Adam also spends time at Watershed Nature Center, which led him to serve as the Co-Treasurer of the Nature Preserve Foundation, a supporter of Watershed and other green spaces around Edwardsville. In 2023 alone, they raised over $97,000 through two fundraising events which allowed them to provide educational activities to 3,145 children and over 800 adults. These funds also supported projects like the Nature Trail resurfacing to allow wheelchair access to the entire Watershed Property.

When Adam was first introduced to the Edwardsville CEO mentor program by a colleague, he quickly saw how impactful the program is on young adults and wanted to get more involved. During the program, Adam helped his mentee develop, troubleshoot and execute a business plan they created. This included creating an elevator pitch, review of financial projections and a full launch of their product at the group tradeshow at the end of the program. Even with all of the previously mentioned passions, Adam has also dedicated time to serving on the committees of American Cancer Society and Boy Scouts of America.
