Volunteer Spotlight Featuring David Ryherd

October 2023 BUSEY'S VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH

David Ryherd

Living the Busey promise in his community, David Ryherd, Financial Planning Specialist II, is being recognized as Busey’s Volunteer of the Month

David’s commitment to giving his time and talent during the month of October centered around his longstanding passion to serve with Appalachia Service Project. This nonprofit organization utilizes volunteers to engage in home repairs to make homes warmer, safer and drier for Appalachian families. David’s service goes far beyond last month’s efforts. For the past six years, he has volunteered with the Appalachia Service Project in various support roles within the youth and adult trips.

In addition to volunteering with the Appalachia Service Project, David also takes part in similar work with his local community. In partnership with ‘Neighbors Helping Neighbors’, David has been helping to build wheelchair ramps for homeowners in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity. He enjoys volunteering with both groups because they provide the opportunity to complete rewarding work for those in need – locally and throughout the Appalachian area. Thank you, David, for your consistent efforts to create lasting and safe communities.

Congratulations, David!
