Certificates of Deposit Rate Specials
1To earn the 4.00% APY on the 5‑Month CD Special, the primary or joint CD owner must also be a primary or joint owner of an eligible Busey Bank checking account that is open and maintained in good standing for the CD term. If the checking account requirement is not met, the CD will earn the standard rate in effect at that time.
2To earn the 3.70% APY on the 11‑Month CD Special, funds must be new to Busey Bank or transferred from a maturing Busey CD at renewal. New funds are defined as deposits not currently on deposit with Busey Bank.
3Minimum opening deposit to obtain the Annual Percentage Yield (APY) is $1,000. Fees may reduce earnings and early withdrawal penalties will apply.
Individual Retirement Account (IRA) CDs are eligible for promotional rates and must meet the $1,000 minimum opening deposit and all applicable requirements to earn the promotional APY. Promotional rates are not available for public entities or brokered accounts.
If no action is taken at maturity, CDs will renew at the standard CD base rate in effect at that time. Special and promotional offers are subject to change or termination at any time.
Early Withdrawal Penalty:
If the term of the CD is 12 months or less, the early withdrawal penalty is 6 months of interest, but not more than the total amount of interest earned during the current term of the CD.
If the term of the CD is greater than 12 months, the early withdrawal penalty is 12 months of interest, but not more than the total amount of interest earned during the current term of the CD.
Transferring of interest and partial withdrawals requested outside of the grace period may not be allowed.
