Busey Volunteerism

Associates in Bloomington recently came together to create red, white, and blue tie blankets for Veterans staying at Carle Hospital. This thoughtful gesture not only provided warmth and comfort but also served as a meaningful way to show appreciation for the service and sacrifice of our Veterans. Their creativity and compassion reflect the spirit of giving that defines our community—thank you to everyone who contributed to this special project!

Busey is proud to announce John Bramlette, SVP – Commercial Relationship Manager Team Lead, as our 2024 Volunteer of the Year. Living the Busey promise in his community, John completed over 361 hours of service in 2024.

John has a deep commitment to supporting local organizations and causes, demonstrating the true spirit of the Busey promise. He actively coaches a wide range of youth sports through the Naperville Park District, including softball, baseball, soccer, and basketball. His involvement goes beyond the playing field as he also serves on the board and finance committee with the Naperville Education Foundation for District 203 and has also served his term on the board and finance committee with HOME DuPage.

HOME DuPage empowers homeowners by offering financial education to help build equity and prepare families for homeownership. John is passionate about the positive impact this organization has on creating a stable future for local families. Additionally, the Naperville Education Foundation supports a variety of initiatives that benefit children in the district, including robotics programs, mental health services, scholarships, teacher grants, and programs that foster entrepreneurship. Thanks to John and his generous giving, these essential services continue to thrive and positively affect the community.

As the Volunteer of the Year, John will receive a $1,000 donation on behalf of Busey to present to an organization of his choosing along.

We would also like to congratulate Lexi Lagle, Commercial & Wealth Analyst, for being named this year’s Volunteer of the Year runner-up. For her service and dedication, Lexi will receive a $250 donation to a charity of her choice.
